Our Policies

Payment & Deposits
A nonrefundable Deposit of $175+tax is due to book, remaining payment due 15 days before the event. If your bonfire requires an additional Special Events permit purchased, that payment is due upon booking and is non-refundable as well per county law. Please note that if final payment is not received on time or after many contact attempts, your reservation will be cancelled.

Timing Policy
Please familiarize yourself with the area of your beach bonfire ahead of time and allow extra time for parking. We do allow a 15 minute grace period before tardiness cuts into your bonfire time. Please call your attendant directly if you are having trouble finding the beach access point or are running late so we can try to assist!

Cancellation Policy
Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your bonfire so we can assist with available options. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to your scheduled bonfire will receive a full refund, less the non-refundable deposit and Special Events permits if purchased. Cancellations made within 14 days of your scheduled bonfire are non-refundable.

This policy allows us to reserve your permit, staff, and equipment in advance while remaining fair to our guests.

Reschedule Fee
Should you need to reschedule within 14 days of your bonfire, an additional $175 reschedule fee applies to pay for the cost of a new beach bonfire permit from the county. Availability is based on both our schedule and permit availability. Reschedules are not guaranteed due to high demand.

Inclement Weather & Reschedules
In case of inclement weather, including high winds, heavy rain, or burn bans, we may need to reschedule or cancel. Reschedules are subject to availability and require an additional $175 reschedule fee, which is due before a new permit can be purchased. We will do our very best to accommodate bonfires impacted by bad weather.

Permits & Availability
All bonfires are subject to county permits and regulations. The cost of one beach bonfire permit is included in your package. Permits are limited per night and are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a permit is denied, revoked, or restricted due to county regulations, environmental conditions, or emergency orders, Fire & Tide reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the event. To secure your chosen date and access point, we purchase permits two weeks in advance unless otherwise discussed. If your preferred access is unavailable, we will contact you with alternative options.

Holidays
A $100 holiday fee applies to all fires booked on major holidays. This fee goes directly to your attendant. The law prohibits beach bonfires on July 4th, December 31, and January 1 for safety reasons. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day so our team can enjoy the holidays with their families.

Private Beachfront Homes (South Walton-30A Only)
A $75 convenience fee applies for bonfires set up at private beachfront homes. This fee covers the added complexity and exclusivity of setup and access.

No Glass or Balloons on the Beach
For safety and compliance reasons, glass is not allowed on the beach. Any glass items brought to the bonfire will incur a $250 fine per item and may result in the cancellation of your event per county law. No balloons for environmental reasons.

Pet Policy
While we adore all furry friends, pets are only allowed if they have a Beach Permit tag from Walton County which has to be purchased prior with proof of vaccines to the county. If you do not have this tag, do not bring your pets to your bonfire.

Gratuity
Gratuity for your attendant is customary and greatly appreciated. You can add it to your invoice or tip cash on-site (preferred). 100% of gratuity goes directly to the attendant. All bachelorette, grand gathering, and wedding bonfires include a 10-15% gratuity for your fire attendant, paid directly to them — so your group can relax and enjoy the night without worrying about tipping.
